Black Moor Goldfish Tank
Like most other fish, Black Moor goldfish will thrive in a tank that is spacious, clean and well-maintained. However, there are a few specifics about Black Moor goldfish that need to be taken into consideration when choosing the best type of tank for their home. Some Black Moor goldfish may exhibit “digging” behavior, which may make keeping live plants in your tank slightly difficult. If you choose to keep live plants, be sure that they have roots that are securely anchored underneath the gravel in the tank. In addition to this, Black Moor goldfish may displace or disturb gravel, causing waste from the bottom of the tank to become stirred up. Try to clean the waste from the tank at least once per week, in order to prevent poor water quality.
Since a Black Moor goldfish has poor eyesight, don’t keep any decorations that contain sharp edges. In addition to this, try to keep only silky, flowing plants that can’t cause injury to a Black Moor goldfish’s eyes if hit. Be sure to provide good lighting for your tank, in order to help your Black Moor goldfish to take advantage of existing light. Most lighting fixtures for fish tanks should be available at your local pet supply store.
